So does that rule out a good chunk of US providers for european companies (stripe/braintree/slack etc)? I could only find mention of Safe Harbor in their privacy policy and not where the data is hosted.

It would definitely be interesting if you have time to push a sample project somewhere to see how it looks when it's someone that knows what they are doing.

Should there be some kind of indication of that in the crate repo or doc of rustc_serialize?

What's the deal with Serde / rustc_serialize ? I've used serde mainly because I've seen mentioned a few times and saw a thread somewhere saying it was the successor of rustc_serialize.

From my experience (used Typescript for a few projects for frontend and tried Flow but ran into bugs/missing things) both TS and Flow type system are easy to fool and in the end you are still writing javascript. I've never heard o

Looks good! One question though, clicking on any of the files on https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/tree/master/config takes at least 10s to open, is it because the site is being hammered right now?

This looks amazing and the onboarding process is really good. I wanted to have a block based editor for a project but it felt a bit daunting as this was not the main part of that project. Did you use anything for the wysiwyg or are you just

How big are we talking about for the compile times? Is there any in-depth recent comparison of elm and purescript somewhere? I found some links from almost a year ago but I assume it changed a lot since then.

Thanks for that link, I'm planning to learn elm this week and while I really don't like lips syntax clojurescript seems to be a big player too.

I read some of the docs but that's the thing I noticed as well, it makes typing impossible or at least very hard. On the other hand, it looks very nice and the document is very well done as well

Is there any open-source classic app (ie talking with a server etc) in Elm? It looks quite interesting and one of my colleagues used it a bit some times ago ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=9068685 ) and liked it.

You can use ES6 import/exports in typescript (see https://github.com/Keats/react-boilerplate/blob/master/src/a... for an example) but some of the import don't work exactly like babel would

You just have to declare which external module (3rd party dep) you are using so typescript knows how to apply typings. Ie you can use ES6 imports, you just need to have a /// <reference path="../typings/all.

Typescript definitely helped on all the projects I've used it. The main con is that sometimes things are not very clear and you might end up spending time on something that typescript can't handle (eg a function that can return se
