I've been using Dialyzer and it works well enough most of the time. Maybe the Elm compiler spoiled me, but when Dialyzer tells me "this pattern will never match" and not offer me tools to fix it, it's very frustrating. I

I've been writing Elixir professionally for a couple months now and I find it fascinating how many tools Elixir gives you to play with. However, I started a toy project in it and immediately ran into trouble due to its dynamic nature.

In case that wasn't a rhetorical question, I use a Sennheiser 4.50BTNC every day and it works flawlessly, both on my phone and on my Linux computer (through a generic USB adapter).

As an evil mode user, the keyboard input thing doesn't really affect me. That lets me use emacs on the terminal when I'm away from my computer no problem.

If people don't use your product if they don't have the pressure of sunken cost, then maybe they're not really benefitting either way.

This is incredible. Thank you for not forgetting about half the planet's population like most services do. I'd like to point out that https://sloppy.io (not sponsored) recently helped me out with regional pricing. On t

Parent never said that. Charging less helps with the goal of having a sustainable business that benefits as many people as possible because it lowers the barrier of entry.

From what I've seen in HN people are more interested in complaining about how Evan handles the language than trying to do something about it or suggest a better approach. Just makes me trust him more, personally.

I also love Elm, but the fact that it is a niche language now doesn't mean it's all it ever will be. There's nothing really stopping anyone from adapting Elm to the server for example, but the reason it hasn't been don

Thank you for the article. I had an idea of what Monads were and even played with them a bit in Rust, but I didn't know they had applications more specific than Result/Option types.

Most of our clients were dropshippers, so I don't have any basis to compare. It could be confirmation bias or just misinformation, but I can't not let my experience sway me into at least avoiding them entirely in the future.
