In general it has been my experience that administrators primary functions are to justify administrators jobs. Usually by any ill considered and ill researched manner as possible.

I had a cheapy Samsung curved 27inch 1080p monitor that use to live in a tax office. It didn't work so it was given to me to see if I could fix it. I noticed I couldn't plug in an HDMI cable without the back of the monitor popping

Yeah, what is the point of developer mode for a device you’re not “allowed” to develop for anyway?

Because the writing on the wall is that this was always meant to be a subscription based, continual revenue stream for Bamboo Labs. They are just edging that direction. Whether or not it’s simply greed or that they didn’t make as much selli

I didn't know this had a name or was considered a skill. I've done this since the 90's when those magic eye books became popular. I even managed "impossible mode" in 2 or 3 seconds.

Oh I actually do have townscaper too, it is also a lot of fun. It feels like it's half finished though. I wish there was more to it so to speak.

I tried it on a simple problem and generated the video thinking I would get a video that would go through the steps of division. Instead it said "Let's take number XX and divide it by number YY using a calculator to get the result

I've been having a lot of fun with this "game", it strikes the same zen cord in my mind as Minecraft use too before Minecraft got too into the weeds with game mechanics. I know I can still throw it into creative mode but Tin

While I agree with the authors sentiment and do try not to include 'click here' links in any of the content I'm asked to post. I disagree with his assertion that it's confusing and slows people down. Having been on the I

For txt based pdfs, doc files etc, this is super easy to do and requires very little technical expertise or configuration. Download the gpt4all client. Pick an LLM the new meta llama3 model works really well then configure the local documen

I bought a used Asus Chromebox cn60 for $22, it has a 1 x Celeron 2955U @ 1.4 GHz tossed in 16gigs of ram for an additional ~$15 and a 256gig m.2 ssd for ~$18. All in under $60 for an x86 based cheap low powered home server running Debian.

I can see why. The appetite comes right back almost immediately. Additionally the feeling of constantly being low-grade sick goes away so people feel pretty great generally. The appetite suppressant factor is only a part of how it works. Th

The effects ware off after about 3 days and your normal appetite generally kicks back in. Mounjaro is intended for long term use for diabetics so, assuming you’re taking it for weight loss like myself you’re generally able to quit whenever

I’m on Mounjaro and it’s pretty crappy. Works great, lost around 70lbs so far in around 8-9 months but it makes me feel pretty sick and other side effects are no fun. It’s especially not good that it’s so hard to get ahold of and you have t

I have to wonder about that. There has been data for years now, confirmed via Covid that work from home not only works but saves companies millions in rent/bills/equipment and that doesn’t even include things like cheaper insuranc

I’d like to see these types of apps start offering SVG embedding of things like graphs. Frames are such a pain.

If you don't need a stupid amount of compute power you can find even cheaper alternatives. I bought a used Asus Chromebox CN60 for $21, put $20 of ram(16gigs) in it and a $20 256 gig ssd. All in, ~$61 minus shipping and I have a small

I’m currently using the free tier ChatGPT web interface to help me with mundane coding tasks like JavaScript, php or css. Is there a local solution that is at least as intelligent as GPT 3.5 in that regard that I can run in a container?

I do have one valid complaint with Beyond Burgers. I am a fan of meat. I like meat. I love a good cheese burger. And Beyond Burgers actually taste fine. Not amazing, not “just like beef” but not bad. I can eat a Beyond Burger and feel satis

So, quickly hit 1+2+3 = 24, if I do it slowly, I get 6.
