I'd love to see the distribution of IQs over time, instead of just the average. For example, a distribution that becomes increasingly bimodal tells a very different story than a distribution shifting to the left.

Would it be possible to have more intermediary mips levels, (for instance instead of {1, 0.5, 0.25} have {1, 0.75, 0.5, 0.375, 0.25}? How much would it help?

The C++ programmers will just switch to C++ 2.0, aka Rust. It's not a big leap.

Don't publicly make fun of your customers... unless they are an anti-virus company. What boggles my mind is how they went on to ask MS for help fixing their obviously wrong vulnerability-and-crash-introducing software.

Kudos to whoever included it in the TI82's manual, it successfully tickled my curiosity when I was a kid in the 90s and played a part in me becoming a programmer. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/325928/Ti-Ti

The downside to this technique is that wasm2c code is 50% slower, so (at least for now) process-isolation is still a win in some cases (when the overhead of process-isolation is small compared to the rest). Still, that's a very excitin

For at least a decade, and in the teams I was in, C"++" written like this would not pass code review precisely because it is incredibly brittle.
