Judging by the number of comments suggesting to make comments "editable for only a few minutes after they’re first posted", I don't think that's right.

I get "If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses" vibes from this. What people really want is not send tweets with typos and grammatical errors, so a good spell checker is what twitter should have

The matrix demo project requires 100GB of disk space! While uninstalling games to free up space to download the project, I noticed that there was no correlation between a game's disk space usage and the amount of fun it provided.

You want the information that you'll eventually get from visiting links, not the links themselves. In fact often you don't even want the information, you just want to solve a problem. I don't know about you, but I don't

Everybody knows that building a competitor is not the hard part. Elon could build and own 100% a competitor to Twitter for much less than the 3 billion he spent to get 9% of twitter. The problem is getting the competitor to have traction.

Without competition SpaceX would be the one setting the price of the acquisition, which could be lower than even the 20 million seed funding!

They are 100% at the mercy of SpaceX accepting their payloads. If SpaceX decides to create an in-house competitor, they are purely and simply screwed. And SpaceX will create an in-house competitor if Impulse Space is profitable. So they a

You can definitely feel the impact of PG's tweet [1] in this thread. I've never seen so much hate about "correlation =/> causation"! [1] https://twitter.com/paulg/status/1503500234777047

I suspect Apple will have much better power metrics for a long time because this is an area where controlling the entire stack (CPU, motherboard, OS) really helps. But yeah, the performance is nothing to write home about.

All the people I knew that had a DS (3 friends) had bought an R4 (a cartridge that allows pirating games). One even never bought a single NDS game because of that! This is of course "anecdotal evidence". What is not anecdotal evid

The key word here is "prior". A car released in 2022 that is popular with old people will have more drivers that have had a DUI violation than a car released in 2022 that is popular with 16 year olds, because the older folks would

This study is not measuring the number of DUI per car model. It's measuring the amount of drivers that have had a DUI in their life, per car model. So this study could start by normalising against the age of drivers, because the older

This is as pointless as adding MathML to a browser. Don't further bloat browsers. If developers need those features (which 99.9% do not), let them create and use libraries based on WebGL/WebGPU. Or rather: go ahead! The more stuff
