I also think that this list isn't very convincing. What I don't get, if Robert Martin uses TDD, why doesn't he simply list those "real" projects (real as in projects for clients) , he's worked on?

You know, this is yet another thing why I really hesitate to start hacking for the iPhone, there are just so many hoops to jump through and being used to developing web apps this beta process just sounds insane... I wonder why so many peopl

That is a very, very superficial comparison. Half of the contras for MySql (the ones referring to MyIsam) don't really apply, since you simply use InnoDB if you need those features. So it's no real help in deciding which DB to pick...

Is Netscape really that good of an example for Duct Tape Programmers at work? Granted, they got a killer application out that was succesful for quite some time but considering the following events, that is, Netscape figuring the codebase go

"Growing a Business" by Paul Hawken - hands down one of the best books on starting a business I have read. Don't let yourself be scared away by the release date 1988, the advice in there is timeless. Lots of the author's advice can still be

Well, all those bugs seem to be related to apps written in PHP but not related to PHP itself - other than at some places making it confusing for beginners to know what to use. And if there are many bugs in apps this is also correlated to th

I agree with more or less with what you said but a downside of PHP is not security vulnerabilities, that's really just a myth. I can't remember the last vulnerability which could be directly attributed to PHP as a language. Sure, there are

Haven't had the chance to play around with it too long but by the looks of it, it's a nice release. Alone that you can turn off the "Use a CDN"-check is worth upgrading. You can of course also turn off any other check to create different cu

Voted up bc I'd like to know, too. I'm also in the process of finding a name and so far it's been both painful and fruitless. I've tried to look for Greek and Latin names but most of those I tried were already taken. I even used a Hawaiian
