These kinds of writings are why I read HN. The article is pretty technical, well written, and removes any political BS that you would most definitely hear on TV. Notice that "circuit breakers" wasn't offered up as a solution to the problem.

I was thinking something more like iFixit, but for cars. Maybe user-generated repair tutorials. Might help mechanics "legitimize" their own business if they are active in a community like that.
