I think the desire would be a locally accessible API so that anyone could build an integration to it.

Right, that bit all makes sense. What was less clear to me (though sibling comments have since clarified) is why the depositor sector matters.

I’m not super well informed about this space, but my understanding was that SVB’s issue wasn’t that its depositors were from the tech sector, but rather that it had put a ton of capital into investments that are significantly less valuable

Perhaps he has gotten better at that in recent years. I got put off his early content for the very that very reason and haven't bothered to go back.

I had a good friend go through the same complications (they're back to ~80% at this point, six months later). Watching that video was an eerily familiar experience...

I took up climbing in my mid-30’s (I’m now in my late 30’s). I find the addition of the mental problem solving component really helps the gym fatigue. It’s a good upper body, core, and cardio workout (though I do try to do pushups and bodyw

I’m a firefighter/paramedic in a suburban town. We average one of these a month (false automated reports of vehicle crashes). I’ve never see a true positive report.

Lucky for me, I'm already up here! (I've got a little over a decade to go before hitting the 50 milestone, but I figured I'd beat the rush)

This seems like a comment that is very much lacking in empathy (I don't really mean that pejoratively, it's just an observation... I don't think you feel much empathy for OP, likely because of very different experiences). For

"Charger" is a colloquial term. Technically this is Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). You're right that it (usually) doesn't do anything in terms of voltage regulation, but that doesn't mean it doesn't

Oh wow... I haven't seen (or really even thought about) that show in ~25 years. That was one of my favorite shows in my early teens. I wonder how well it would hold up these days. I remember it being super campy (in a fun way).

The US absolutely does, it just depends on the agency. I'm a firefighter/paramedic who sometimes rides a fire truck, sometimes rides an ambulance, and sometimes switches from one to the other mid-call as the situation warrants.

The US is a little unique in the extent to which "firefighter/paramedic" is a common role, but it's very typical for firefighting personal to have at least some level of medical training, even if it's just the "
