You may be interested in this wonderful article [1] about how these and many other unusual symbols ended up in Unicode. I personally had never considered how much of an issue including flags could be. Quite an interesting discussion around

I haven't seen the Formula One logo mentioned, and that's definitely worth looking at if people aren't familiar with it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formula_One

About 15 or so years ago I had an operation on my arm following me breaking it in 3 places on my elbow (I was about 7 and fell off my bike without letting go of the handlebars). While not nearly as severe as a lot of the stories mentioned h

"Let users host web sites out of their public folder! Hand craft HTML still has a place among basic users who just want to put up a web page about their dog!" I think this is one of the reasons they are phasing out the public folder, as peo

That's really interesting. Until recently I'd never come across people using SSIDs to express their political opinions, but one of my neighbours has just started using "Vote Labour" as theirs (Labour is the current UK opposition party). I c

Lightroom 4 is available to purchase now, but the buying process is still unintuive (at least as far as the education verification process is concerned). In a moment of madness I decided go for the physical copy, but that just yielded a rid
