Considering that people like Musk want to finance it commercially (yes, really), this point may be moot; however... The technology involved in going to mars will significantly advance (and cheapen) several areas that would otherwise be igno

I disagree. eSports provides a low price entry point into the platform and greatly expands the PC base. The hardware sales come with the culture of PC gaming along with what you said, but the people become PC gamers first and hardware buyer

The concept itself is something I have certainly considered. The reality of it may be that there are just too many possible vectors to cover and they might not work as intended especially if scaled up. There's really no guarantee you w

I know an engineer who is amazing at building beautiful products. Would probably be his dream job. He doesn't; likely because being a designer isn't highly appreciated (with the monies).

Then maybe the GOP should start listening to issues that tech cares about? They seem to oppose pretty much everything that tech people care about except maybe lowering taxes (but does that ever happen anyway?).

I'm not entirely sure that info (% of traffic) is possible for wikipedia to obtain accurately. There are however 3.3 billion people in the world estimated to have internet. Assuming that 90% of internet traffic is autonomous, each pers

I could write a better reply, but I'm tired. Sorry if I articulate this poorly. One funny problem with a society based overly on data is that we start deciding things simply by how we analyze the data. Trends become self reinforcing to

This lady takes the bio-electric readings from plants and uses it to make incredible music. Don't see much from the creator's project / motherboard around here, but I'm a pretty big fan.

Agreed, but we are also heavily biased towards this view as a community. I think we should try to steer the conversation away from this particular point. But dear god... some people manage to make some awful software.
