Let's change the argument. There's a much larger financial incentive to make sure a shuttle doesn't blow up. The testing process is going to be far longer, far more rigerous and everyone remembers the challenger disaster too

I'm also not a social network fan. Why have my entire work history public? Or want recruiters to have 24/7 access to me when I'm not looking for work. There are lots of reasons not to bother with linked-in.

I'm curious as to whether or not this is objectively true when measured. It doesn't have to be intentional, but a reputation for that (which it certainly had at one point) could have the equivalent effect.

I'm not sure that there is an undertone that it's their fault. At best, it's because Asians value school and mathematics more and Google prefers high GPA and ability to solve mathematical and algorithmic problems. I suspect t

His eventual goal may be citizen space flights, so a reputation for looking comfortable might be beneficial. At this point, SpaceX should have the backing of NASA and all their experience on things that could possibly go wrong. They've

I'm not a fan of LinkedIn. People have 'verified' that I have tons of skills that they have no idea whether or not I actually have. I've also found that plenty of people my age (25) dislike it for various reasons. Maybe

How do you propose to kill only certain species of mosquitoes without killing the rest (and intense collateral damage). Edit: well, I read that article poorly. Sorry!

The article isn't necessarily truthful. It's still well within the realm of measurement error.

Inertia is quantized? Do we actually live inside a computer, because that's really weird. Physicists, help explain this outside of the universe uses a lookup table to approximate inertia.

Makes logical sense that it would be a part of life (once you can synthesize a few things from a given one thing you can build all sorts of logical structures...), but I see there are tons of biological probabilities at play that I don'

It makes sense that we find this on occasion (once you accept that there exists some combination of folding that produces this). Once one protein folds in a way that can induce the same modification, it will replicate rather quickly. Are th

Why not IRC, Jitsi, Jira and a wiki. IRC for chitchat / asking questions (PMs and highlights so there's no immediate need to respond) Jitsi / IRC for meetings or small team collaboration. Jira for bugs Wiki for documenting de

For me its less the money and more the performance. Windows eats processing power that I don't want to expend on a small processor. Sadly, battery performance on new hardware is often worse on Linux, so its a tradeoff.
