Who makes the drive? Many of the manufacturers have diagnostic programs you can run to test if its motherboard or read head issues. If its not making funny sounds (read head / platter damage) you may be able to swap the drive chip guts with

Since I do not know your skill level, location, and other variables its hard to say exactly. Thats why I suggested comparing to what you could earn if you were to take a full-time job in your area, at your experience level. Also you said yo

Hire a lawyer. If the dollar value is that good that it makes you want to do it right. Then its probably worth the cost to do it right and get good advice.

Pull the trigger. Use the money to build a development team that you trust. And trust them with building your first version (MVP). Iterate from there.

Hire a developer or two and build a MVP to test the idea in the wild. That way you can see if what you think is a great idea really is. If not rinse and repeat. If so add to your team to make it better and keep adding to the product.

You can push the app and generate buzz by giving away a replacement phone to the top scorer over some period. If its ad supported and grows large enough the money should cover the expense. Something like: "Want / Need a new phone see how fa

Also its possible that soon we will have all sorts of custom extensions from custom providers / companies and then people will have to start paying more attention to the extension of the domain as well as just the name.

I also agree that it depends on if another extension makes sense. For example: If you are buying a .me (or other extension) just because .com and .net are gone and it doesn't relate then pick another name. If you are buying a .me (or other

Open CV is free and decent to start with. Lots of wrappers exist for it so you could pretty much use it with whatever environment you are using. If your idea is validated you could then look into some of the more expensive commercial librar

I think this would be a great plug-in for teams of developers to install. Especially early career members. You could make the rewards visible to your team members in TFS so you could rag on the guy who always submits "Spaghetti code" or the

Thanks for the offer but I agree with others in thinking people should earn the right to have the community review their work. What level of participation justifies that right is the real question. Any thoughts?
