That would mean that places where nearly everyone has safety nets (countries with welfare) would have a higher amount of entrepreneurship. That is not the case. Entrepreneurship seems to strive in harsh do or die conditions like in US or Is

We're at a point where you are massively crippled from the rest of society if you do not use it. There are so many uses that I just cannot afford to not be on the platform.

Very interesting. This is just a correlational study, and is limited to 40-65 year old americans. But it stills strikes for a need of more investigation.

Im not forgetting labor cost. I would actually say payroll tax, benefits and office space are even higher in California than any European country.

Not even close to true. Especially when comparing California with EU countries, even high tax rate ones. The difference between net salary and what company pays is actually very similar.

You are really not missing the forest for the trees. Facebook has grown so large that it's no longer an individual's decision to be there or not. Your data is there whatever you do, growing as a phantom profile based on data you g

Because it creates an unfair advantage? If switching costs are high it enables monopolistic power just because of high amount of users, and not because of quality of the platform.

Remember that that price also included commission from UBER, so you were already offering him 25-35% extra.

It's ridehailing, ride-sharing is completely different. Ride-sharing REDUCES congestion. Ridehailing increases congestion if the city's public transport system is terrible. This is not a fault of ridehailing, it's a symptom

Oh, and they are losing money because of platform competition, nothing else. That she only reason a market is making a loss for Uber, because of price/driver bonus war. I can go more in-depth into this if you want.
