Good luck convincing the government (or local councils) of Bulgaria to migrate to an office suite that’s available in French or English only. That’s beside the sibling comment’s point that this suite is not complete enough (yet).

In a school context, it is (or should be) just as important to consider each child’s need for being appropriately challenged as it is to consider their need for support.

Strictly speaking, evolution selects for viable offspring, not simply surviving. But that’s a nitpick, quite beside your point.

Should be illegal to pay someone less than the cost of living. The free labor ”market” has clearly not managed to solve the problem. (BYW that’s my proposed solution for the tipping problem, too, to stick to the topic.)

It’s clear that the discussion has stretched the metaphor of wolves far beyond its breaking point. The point was that developers (or indeed people in general) do not work the way wolves do, and I’m not reading great arguments to the contra

Lone wolves are not happy animals, though. They are less successful in hunts, they can’t take down large prey at all. They don’t generally produce offspring. They’re an unfortunate effect of the social structure of wolves, where young males

Right, but you still have to define every ”verb” your plan will have, their ”arguments”, etc. Not need to write a parser (even Java can serialize/deserialize stuff), as you say, but you have to meta-engineer the tool. Not just script a

I like that idea! For an application like Terraform, Ansible or the like, it seems ideal. For something like in the article, I’m pretty sure a plan mode is overkill though. Planning mode must involve making a domain specific language or dat

I worked in telecoms back then, and I don’t recall 3G having any precise location mechanism. Most handsets back then did not have GPS receivers, and as such they could only tell you a pretty rough estimate of your position, based on multite

”Following the war on social media” is a highway to poor psychological health, so I’ve avoided that after the first few weeks of the Russian invasion. In retrospect, I think I’m better off for having missed these far-right talking points. E
