What he is saying is not about "hot" markets, he says big markets. There are lots of "hot" markets that are not particularly big imho. For example videocasting. Then, there are big markets, that were not so hot, e.g. browsers around 2002-5.

If you manage to jott down 10 ways to market your idea and have a timeline i think its a good idea. everyone knows you cannot predict what is going to happen but that doesnt mean u cannot plan for the future.

i have the confidence and motivation to go it alone, however, i think startups work better with twos. most of the initial work is done. but post launch a one man band may be a little too much!

the article seems to be suggesting, the older you are, the less original your thinking can be. we know this is not necessarily true but is it generally true? though the "idea" is central to a start-up, older entrepreneurs can add experience
