In my workplace, I have just a laptop. It's not ideal, but it's fine. I have a large external monitor, an external keyboard, and a crazy large hard drive, so it's OK. At home, I use towers.

I know this is a hard thing (much easier to say than to do), but I'd encourage you to try to focus less on what you have no control over and more on what you do have control over. The future always brings surprises, some good, some not

It isn't good enough. There's far too much ambiguity and imprecision inherent in the language. Just look at how often it is that native English speakers misunderstand each other. To make English (or any human language) suitable fo

I don't see how that follows at all. But LaTeX seems to disprove the notion, since it is, in fact, very good for typesetting documents.

LaTeX is a programming language. Any attempt to refine english to act like a programming language will just result in a new programming language.

We already have that stuff. It's generally called "professional jargon". In software development, we even refined it greatly to meet our needs. That's what programming languages are.

Boring colleagues all the way. I don't need or expect my coworkers to entertain me. I do need to find some sort of meaning in my work.

I don't think that whether or not the US has an interest in occupation is a large factor in this risk. If the US attacked China, China would respond, guaranteed. That would lead to a full-on war. Unless the US backed down, a nuclear at
