I find it odd that the responses from the LIGO team and supporters are so hostile, while it seems Jackson have a fairly constructive perspective: Jackson says he hope that “our concerns will be taken constructively and lead both to improved

Very interesting read. However, he changed it before the bank added their signarture. I imagine that if you change the contract after a signature is added by one party, and then add your own signarture, that would surely be fraud... right?

I'm curious. Anyone care to outline the legal ramifications of this action? What would happen if IBM tried to stop his side-project? 1. Would IBM be able to enforce the original contract as it was outlined when they sent it to him? Wou

I often find that when I'm tired I'm much more effective and less prone to procrastinate. I've always wondered how to achieve this effect while not messing with my sleep.

Do cloudflare want to be registrar for other foreign TLDs in the future? I would love to see them support TLDs such as .dk, .de, .it etc. That way both me and my clients could begin consolidating domain registration in one place, instead of

It is and I hate that movie for it. In theory I should love it, but the disconnect between trying to be realistic and totally ignoring reality, killed it for me. I usually love sci-fi movies, realistic or not. But I mean, if you're goi

Can you say a little more about the reason you chose KeyCDN over CloudFlare or the other providers. What features are you using?

You might be right about the self-fulfilling prophecy. But this effect might already be in effect, as people might already have a gut feeling, while nobody cares (or knows) about it.

It is entirely too easy for companies to hire poor people and call them "safeguards" with no regulation. I'll put my money on that the "safeguards" are poorly paid, poorly trained, over worked, and that the Uber are

In my mind this accident is on Uber no matter how you interpret the video. Scenario 1: Lets say the pedestrian was visible to the naked eye and sensors. The model and safety operator still didn't "see" her and act in time. Wh

Right now, we have 2 services and 1 scheduled job running on an ECS cluster running on 2 m3.medium spot instances. However we are utilizing less than 10% of the resouces available so moving to Fargate would be cheaper and much more convenie

Keep going... EKS is still in preview, so you probably shouldn't rely on it in production just yet. However you could check out kops ( https://github.com/kubernetes/kops ), which makes provisioning a k8s cluster on

I really like kanbanflow as a product. For example they also have a pretty nice integrated pomodoro timer with interruption logging. However the reason I moved back to Trello was the interface was a bit old-fashioned, and I found it hard to

I tried something similar... Our CEO set the price of our email service too low (oops). But unlike you we faced the music and doubled the price only a year after. The backlash was much smaller than I anticipated. We marketed the price hike

The only problem is that we're now pushing ad networks into much more murky waters... And believe me, they'll do anything to make their monthly budget. Ever heard of native advertising? Basicly just a catch-all name given to ads t

I work at an ad network and I've tried to push morals and ethics for 7 years now. The problem is that the entire field is driven by sales people with very few exceptions. The only objective is to make more money tomorrow, so they only

I think you might be confused. One of the nice things to happen to OSS was the availability of transistors and electricity. Both made it possible to make millions of logic calculations per second without knowing it. :)

It is really hard for DFP to not allow non-secure creatives as long as you can create 3rd-party creatives. They do try to detect non-secure assets though, so they won't run on secure pages. See: https://support.google.com&#x
