After the Time person of the year thing there was a bit of an online spat about who did and didn't get featured on the cover and who was most deserving of the credit. To me it seems a bit unseemly and unnecessary. I don't think an

I feel like there's some obvious point-missing going on here. "Millennials are killing X" is a marketing POV, and marketing fundamentally exists outside morality. It's not a moral indictment, it's just a bald statem

Well I tend to assume people are using bitcoin in a decentralized fashion because that was its entire raison d'etre, but it's true that at this point that seems to have fallen by the wayside.

Maybe I don't fully understand it but from what I've gathered, the Lightning Network is a plan to enable people to do transactions outside of the main blockchain and eventually sync them back. It seems to get touted as a magical p

One way or another I'd rate the odds of their still having access to that address in 2035 as pretty low. Realistically anything that requires people to have decent data management / opsec is going to fail for >99% of people.

Ah cool, I set it to 4000 and it looks to have sped it up a bit (currently saying 16 hours to go, down from "two days"). I'm still not convinced it's a very practical decentralized currency though.

Do they get into trouble for uploading copyrighted work to youtube? Except maybe in unusual circumstances I think all that happens is the video gets removed or demonetized. Which I would say is pretty forgiving.
