Not quite. At the moment it's virtual currency [0]. My point was that security holes increase as service increases in complexity. Especially when it's used for everything and becomes a hard lesson in SPoF for users, like the money example.

I like to think that promoting what you currently use gains more traction for what you use in terms of; community, documentation, features, demand, etc. Applies to all languages and software. But yeah, the immaturity with using fallacies (e

How would Google do it with an algorithm to tell whether a database is leaked or not? Get emails from the firm to assess it? Maybe a honeypot email? In that case, it seems far more easier for developers to put in honeypot emails in the data

That only tackles the master password for every site issue. It does not solve the password being plaintext. For example, Facebook has a central ID and if they don't protect the password that gets exposed, someone could use the password to w

It seems overly anti-police just starting with the headline and not quite about how the apps are giving journalistic abilities to people. Just my opinion. I don't dislike/avoid the police here (Australian).

It's more about capturing something that someone does not want to be seen and later traceable back to you because you didn't know about your phone embedding data into pictures. Say for example, you caught me killing a puppy with your camera

Also strip personally identifying information for immediate anonymity. A phone serial could be embedded or at least a phone make (mine does phone make. Flickr enjoys this btw). Combine that with who owns the phone serial or used phone make

I read a case that if you look like you're recording everything in general, the people being recorded give permission to be recorded in public space. I think it was aimed at protecting journalists though.

I think it was referring to copying content from wikipedia, translating it into a different language and then back into English. Probably one of the reasons for google to reduce the manipulation by taking down the translate API.

Are you sure mobile browsers are good at viewing desktop-aimed content? I'm considering auto-resizing (fluid) for simple content like cssgrid.net because some placements will break or look weird. Would this be a problem for mobile browsers?

When using Nginx, I noticed a penalty of 10x too when not using the SSL cache. Stunnel and Nginx have SSL caches for those considering it.

Is there any businesses targeting this demographic online? I don't have much idea how to create markets for a very sophisticated demographic that's averse to new things yet it's probably the richest demographic in many countries if not all.
