My first thought it that you may be looking at what is feasible today vs what was feasible for email clients (web or client) since they've been supporting HTML email. Email has been around a long time, and thinking of email as being a

And then there's Outlook. My quality of life is so much better since I left the email marketing industry.

There are some good reasons why email clients do modify HTML: security is one, but they also have to make sure malformed HTML can't break the rest of the page. There are also reasons why they don't publish clear documentation on

They're pre-loading videos for the same reason Facebook does: if you post an article with a video, the video instantly plays, with little to no buffering.

I'm not sure if this story has been told this plainly elsewhere, but it probably should. I know plenty of people who got very paranoid of Skype after MS bought them.

I heard quite a few people who (even after Windows 7 came out) were complaining that MS made DOS harder to boot into with Win 95.

I don't know if my experience is atypical, but nearly every light I my house is a CFL. They have survived 4 moves in 7 years, with only one going out.

In my opinion, the gamification was getting kind of old, especially as a lot of people had third-party apps that would check them into any location they even passed by. This probably made it very difficult to monetize location data, but it

You have to create an account, then remove the password from it. You can't create a new account[1] without a password. [1] http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/disable-remove-...

I frequent two sites that do something like this. I found them from this article (which was also very helpful for me): http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/read-intelligent-content-2016-3... The Conversation https://

I've tried some of these, and they do improve the quality of your newsfeed. Basically, they tell Facebook what kinds of posts and which people you are most interested in seeing.

The US government was spending 25% more on healthcare, pre-ACA, and with less comprehensive healthcare than Canada. Actual healthcare cost overall (on average) is roughly double for all of the year's listed in the chart.

I agree - definitely not saying that we can't use regulation to do some parts of this. But expecting companies to do whatever they can legally get away with is not the answer. Corporate responsibility has to play a role.

It is ridiculous to say that we simply need to pass laws to address unacceptable behavior from companies. I firmly believe in regulation as a force for good, but attempting to create regulation that addresses specific companies or situation

I wouldn't say we were getting along fine without it. There were some pretty big privacy breaches[1], which helped move Apple forward. I think Google and Android are great, but on this topic they have held out for as long as possible,

I don't know that this model will work for consumer hardware. Hue isn't marketed as a "dumb" lightbulb, and people aren't going to appreciate paying more for less service than they get with a 100w incandescent.

This is the fallacy that hurts men and women. I care a lot about my job. But I care more about my family. Any culture that translate that as a negative (you care less about your job than someone else who is willing to sacrifice family time

There has definitely been a trade off. I recently had to install Win 8 on a Surface, and had all but forgotten the days of a fresh install needing 100+ updates, which require multiple download/install/reboot/repeat cycles. Wi
