Video quality for the demo video on showmewebcam github page is quite bad. I suspect it is mainly caused by the lens. Are there any good lenses out there that don't cost a lot? I could not find any good demo videos from the Rpi HQ came

I think that the noise is one of the better safety features of motorcycles. Without the noise you would be invisible and I think even more accidents would happen.

Or you could just disable the requirement of using the touch.

But only one of those could potentially be stealthy enough so that target would not notice anything.

That is not always preferable, especially in front of an audience. We have some cheap lavalier mic and with this noise suppression it sounds great. The problem was not with picking up the speaker, it was with the noise of the microphone.

De-capping would probably be much harder than rooting T2.

I particularly enjoy that they added Mozilla's RNNoise library for AI noise suppression. It is not as good as Nvidia's RTX Voice but it does the job. This is very helpful to get some noisy microphones to behave nicely.

There is a way to capture Wayland https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/pull/1758 I'm hoping this eventually gets merged in. This would not only allow capturing Wayland, but also capturing games witho

Sounds weird. We are using an old 2015 MacBook Pro for 1080p streams at work. We stream multiple webcams, browser capture, Teams capture and HDMI screen capture. It has never lagged for us.

Few years? Last time I had to install Infinality patchset was about 10 years ago. Font rendering on Archlinux has been looking great for years now.

I now prefer Archlinux for desktops and Ubuntu server for servers. Not as easy upgrade steps and lack of LXD on Debian is pushing me away from it.

Audio books is not technically reading yourself, but with those you can easily go through one book a week. They don't really work for me personally, but some of my friends listen to audio books all the time.

I still use my Pebble Time Steel from the Kickstarter campaign. Thinking of switching to Apple watch because I have iPhone and I also want to use Apple Pay without the phone. If they had better battery life, I probably would have done it al

For internal only things you can use Wireguard VPN and any dynamic DNS provider.

In my opinion Reddit UX is miserable even on desktop. Whenever I see a Reddit link in search, I try to avoid it. It is in a way similar to Pinterest experience.

This sounds like a complex port knocking setup with bigger overhead. If you want better security and UDP is not a problem, consider use of Wireguard VPN. It is passive and silent, random attackers won’t even know it is there.

I saw somewhere that they will offer the remote development in the browser as a paid cloud feature. They can also at any time make those proprietary features non-free. Perhaps when they get a large enough user base or new CEO or something l

It is not true that all banks in EU require that. I actually thought that SMS as 2nd factor for Banking is not allowed in EU anymore. All the serious banks that I know of offer asynchronous password tokens (like Digipass), since not everyon

The awesome thing with wireless IoT is that it can be set up without any additional cabling, which can be extremely painful process in most homes. In case of wireless all you need is ESP32, relay and a power supply. And all of that together

So, you send someone a script... And they just run it? If they do, then it doesn't matter if it uses/fakes sudo, or not. They have some bigger problems.

sudo does what it is supposed to do - run commands as a specific user. Without entering password every time you run a command (because of caching). Depending on parameters it will also evaluate some parameters for that user. If you don'
