It's mostly a family thing. Neither me nor my wife are originally from here, we moved up for a gig that I don't have any more. If we hadn't bought a house at the top of the bubble we'd probably have split already. Tha

The "update now" link was to some completely other site, so without having checked out the headers yet I'd say it's a safe bet.

This reminds me, yesterday i got an obviously spoofed phishing email from "apple" telling me to reset my passwords and reenter my CC info. Anybody else get that? http://imgur.com/hyta4bC

Seriously, can anyone in the Ann Arbor area speak up on this? My family and I have been mulling over a move from North Jersey back to MI for a while, and I know there is a tech scene there, but what's it like?

Interesting, thanks for all the info! I've only been there once, and it the hills outside town were on fire at the time, but it still seemed like a cool neighborhood and cool town over all if you can handle the desert thing...

Phoenix is the mess you're thinking of. Tucson is fairly reasonable as far as size goes.

I just had to rename vim in /usr/bin so it'd pick up the /usr/local/bin homebrewed version instead, but yeah, this.

Color me skeptical, but it doesn't appear that there's anything that's outside the scope of what a big check to a congressperson can get you these days. I do hope you're right, though.

In fairness, $5,000 a year for hosting and maintenance, but $28k a year in property taxes? Good ole Jersey.

Same as the other reply. I'm using Unicorn behind Nginx. Sidekiq is eating the biggest chunk of my memory too, and I haven't tried tuning it yet. Haven't "needed" to.

Yeah, any idea why development slowed on this so much? Did they get the codec so perfect that there was nothing left to do? It's kind of interesting that something that has seen so little development over the past several years still

I'm personally aware of Yandex because they have one of the most aggressive search crawlers on the entire internet, judging from our Apache logs.

Yeah, no, not really. "auto update requires web-write to your whole site" pretty much says it all, and the Wordpress plugin community isn't really known for it's security awareness.

Go here - https://www.digitalocean.com/ - and pony up the $5. Then go here - https://library.linode.com/ - and start getting familiar.

The most interesting part to me is the Windows 1.0 screenshot at the very top of the article. They were using the "mobile menu" icon doohicky/convention at the top left. I wonder what that actually did.
