I'd have to ask, do liability damages have to be 100 mil per person? Why can't they be significantly less, IE more commensurate to a reasonable (surely never 100% accurate) assessment of the rough economic value of damages actuall

I wonder how often if ever extreme groups eager to recruit use the ads served to them as a source of potential "proto-shibboleths" to look into. If the advertisers with their dearth of data could know, before even you do, what sor

There was an interesting comment in another HN thread, where something like this got talked about: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29558521 Applying that theory here would be to create a feedback loop where the Herman

Tell me about it... My own experience with forced fun and creepy contests that encroach on free time has left me in a state where I wouldn't be shocked if a company one day didn't introduce a "dream tracker system" where

That's a good question with a lot of observations that could be made... I'd say that out of concern for the (economic) consequences of harmful side effects, the choice not to get the jab is de-facto forcefully made for the state

Right. Gotta do what you can to have the elites notice you and invite you for an initiation ritual into their kooky cult of deeply cynical hypocrisy. Great way to live, right?

Nestaway's website is a real window into the dystopia. It's kind of refreshing to have a panopticonic nightmare conveyed by an aesthetic other than alegria for once.

Hmmmm, it's considered okay to read the books, but any conclusions you communicate had really better fit the boundaries of a given dominant orthodoxy or your effectiveness will need to be curtailed. That's how it's almost alw

Stroadlandia is like meth or heroin? I didn't realize I was experimenting with something tantamount to drugs. I suppose it was a good trip, but one has to keep on dunetreading.

The reason StreetRoadTopia is a dark age is not because there are streets and roads per se, it's that the Pedestrians, in their hubris, smugly abolished Stroadlandia. Whether we get there by streets, roads or stroads, the real golden a

I will never forget what I learned from my time living with the Stroadlandians as a pedestrian. I shall wear your downvotes as badges to their honour. Long live Stroadlandia and her humble denizens.

Stroadlandia is a noble, and beautiful place. Her cars are majestic creatures, worthy of human service. Her department stores and parking lots overflow with the abundance of a multifaceted thoroughfare that defies the reason of mortal man.

Stress makes it feel like less work and more time is necessary. I think the stress we feel is really a crisis about work feeling meaningless. If our work felt more meaningful, and engaging, we'd be happy to work far longer, and far mor

I saw an airpad drop out of a woman's ear as she passed me crossing the street today. I never switched to wireless. Always had to deal with wires, which can be a little inconvenient but well worth it.
