Google has always denied that this is possible. The recent coverage on negative SEO seems to show otherwise.

I've seen it mentioned in the Terms of Use of certain companies (thinking Fox.com) that people are not allowed to link to the company website going back to the 90s, but I've never actually seen anyone try to enforce that. I don't know wheth

Totally agree. You're describing how I started... for a kid wanting to write a web page over 10 years ago you were lucky to have access to lissaexplains.com & w3schools.com. Nowadays you've got stackoverflow, smashing mag network, nettu

[Disclaimer: anecdote] I was on depo provera for over 3 years. It destroyed my sex drive, nearly caused the end of my relationship, gave me terrible recurring headaches and mood swings. I came off it, and after 18 months my body was still a

> As for women in IT, well, ever considered they just don't like it that much? Did you miss all the recent posts from women in IT who say they love their jobs but have been forced out because of sexism etc?

Making/enjoying sexual jokes in the right context and finding other sexual jokes sexist are not mutually exclusive.

It certainly made me think - I'll even admit that for a moment my cursor was hovering over the down vote arrow. It's sad, but it made me think BECAUSE there are people who think like this (and I've seen similar serious responses here on HN.

I'd love to wear lightweight cotton dress shirts. Unfortunately, trying to get a pair of 36G breasts into a shirt cut for my size is an exercise in futility. The results border on pornographic - gaping buttons, bulges etc. I have a few choi

As a woman, and a woman in tech at that, I'm not /upset/ by it, but it does bother me. It bothers me that the organisers assume the attendees will all be straight males and therefore interested in the fact that the servers are women. It bot

My partner did the Amazon Prime trial last year and forgot to cancel it. He decided instead of contacting Amazon and sorting it out that we'd try it... we did about 95% of our Christmas shopping through Amazon which saved both time and mone
