I've been using it for about 10 years. Application compatibility is only a small part of why I stick with it. (I have tried multiple Linux distributions and OS X)

I've always wondered how people could forget their domains. I get at least 7-8 reminders for my domains prior to their expiry, and that's even on domains set to auto-renew. It didn't occur to me it was a difference between European/US regis

I've had the opposite experience. I don't use it myself (I even opted to buy a new laptop with XP over Vista) but I'm responsible for looking after a Vista laptop where I work and I have no end of problems. Networking issues, compatibility

I made a similar mistake in a job interview once. I was interviewing for a position as IT technician, and the network manager asked me where I wanted to be in 5 years time. I responded "in your job". It didn't go down well, and although I e

I got 20k unique visitors from stumbleupon in less than 24 hours on an equally cheap host (running wp, no caching, image-heavy page) with no problems. Shame they totally screwed up a few months down the line and I was forced to move host.

If I remember correctly, it doesn't. The crawler ignores it. The problem is, some people still want to be indexed by the Live crawler, but without the spam in the referrals. At least by blocking the crawler purely in the stats, they still h

Preserving the correct URLs is a lost cause - tinyurl and services of that ilk make it all but impossible. With regards to content appearing in search engines as belonging to both, have you bothered to check or are you making assumptions? S
