Why is this such an achievement? Is 64-bit on Windows so much harder than on Linux, because they have had 64-bit on Linux for as long as I can remember. (I've been using Linux for 3 years)

I'm not sure why you need child processes or SSH (I mean you can use vim over SSH). But have you tried syntastic for the syntax checking? And I'm not sure what kind of visual interface you want for git, bit the combination of fugi

You should try Ghost. I've had a good experiences with it. It still has some quirks though like mobile editing (viewing works fine). But it's officially still in beta so that is to be expected. It uses markdown, has lots of themes

Good to see there are other solutions out there for nice PDF generation. I open-sourced my code for generating LaTeX (and compile it to pdf's) using Python. This seems like a good solution for the less tech savy people.

I've just (1 hour ago) updated my Python 3 library [1] to support Python 2.7 as well. All I needed to do was pass it through the awkwardduet, the 3to2 fork, and everything just worked. Writing in Python 3 feels way cleaner though. The

Try using tig, it will make looking at a repositories history so much easier for you. It's like git log and diff merged together in a command line utility of awesomeness.
