Not sure, why you think they cannot be used with defered interpolation. You, can easily combine the two like this: >>> f'{"fstring"} and {{deferred}}'.format(deferred=1234) 'fstring and 1234'

The "only one way to do things" is quite low in the Zen of python. It is preceded by for instance "Beautiful is beter than ugly", "Readability counts" and "practicality beats purity" [1]. There's

Serving the SHA-1 hashes over an HTTP connection doesn't really seem useful at all to me. If you're worried about MITM the hashes could easily be changed as well.

Sphinx really isn't that hard. The default config file is just quite crappy. Check out this one for one of my projects: https://github.com/JelteF/easyfuse/blob/master/docs/conf.py Especially th

Those broken .io nameservers seem to be taken down now. So next cache flush should fix the issue.

I would recommend neovim. Configuring it should be as easy as symlinking your vimrc and .vim directory: https://neovim.io/doc/user/nvim.html#nvim-from-vim For packaging I suggest using vim-plug. It's super si

The article does not explain how it gets the {}, which is used to get the Object constructor string. Other than that it's very clear.

I just added a feature proposal to this library with a similar syntax to this but in a Pythonic way. import pendulum as pm now_in_paris = pm.now('Europe/Paris') tomorrow_in_paris = now_in_paris + pm.day next_wee

This is one of the advantages of the QUIC protocol [1]. Which basically implements what you're saying over UDP. [1]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QUIC

They don't anymore [1]. CDNs simply got too cheap to have a warrant a more complicated setup, that did not work on all their clients. [1]: https://techcrunch.com/2014/04/17/spotify-removes-peer-to-pe...

It would be very interesting to see this method used for other elections to see what unexpected results can be found. Although still interesting, it is not a huge surprise that there has been large vote fraud in Russia.

For me the time I loved SQLAlchemy the most was the time when I migrated my database from MySQL to Postgres. Almost all of the issues people were warning me about did not matter as SQLAlchemy caught them automatically.

The only thing I missed in Postgres after switching from MySQL was that text was not searched case insensitively, i.e. searching for "alex", would not match "Alex". However, this was easily solved by using the CITEXT ty

What would be even better is this: ul li:nth-child(-n + 3) { background: red; } See the last example on this page: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/:nth-child

I still like https://github.com/diafygi/acme-tiny better. It's a simple python script (300 lines) and you can understand what is going on.

Any time I want to write some non trivial regex I use https://debuggex.com/ to check/write it. It is also great to quickly find out what a regular expression that someone else write actually does.

They might rearrange keys in a JSON object, but in an array they should be preserved in order as according to the spec[1]. If Swift does this (which I can't really check) than this would be a bug. [1] http://www.json.org

I think its a real shame that pypy3 is not updated with the new releases of pypy. It is still on 2.4.0. I understand that the major sponsors of PyPy are interested in the python 2.7, but not updating it for 1.5 years seems like they have ab
