There's no conditional on solar panel pricing -- you can do this now. I have 12kW of panels, and a 10kW inverter. I get a nice 10kW flat-line for a few hours each day through summer, and a better-than-it-would-otherwise-be return thro

My experiences with Saltstack and Ansible are inverted - I realise the comparison was only a casual aside in TFA, but the 'Ansible executed the idea better than Saltstack' comment invites so many questions, especially in the conte

I perhaps wasn't 100% clear. I'm not suggesting English is a perfect representation of thoughts & concepts into strings of letters & punctuation, or that any one variant has tweaked it to be just right . I'm complain

Ooh, that first bit suggests you're in danger of suggesting there's a coherent, sensible, set of rules for English ... which I'm sure you don't really subscribe to. Anyone adopting that position as a starting point is g

Well, I'm in Australia, and it's common here (too). I suspect you'd find it's common in most English-speaking non-USA metric-embracing nation states. It works fine spoken, too, because we could say 'imperial ton

I do get your point, but for the record it should never be 1000kg. In metric we use the word tonne to disambiguate from the myriad weird, whacky, and deprecated tons used by ~ 5% of the population.

If you have the capability to measure state, and you have control over audio / visual input, then you necessarily have the ability, albeit via a probably alarmingly small number of experiments, to induce (some value of) state.
