Thank you! I keep stumbling upon interesting historical footage on Youtube, only to find that it's been ruined by janky AI. I do think there's a place for AI and video restauration, but colors and 4k, with soundscape, really?

This looks really nice! I loved trello and I'm always happy to see alternatives. My two cents: I use the keyboard a lot, so when I hit "enter" on a form, e.g. to create a board, it closes the popup instead of creating that bo

I really appreciate that the double-click on the icon button in the title bar of each window closes it. Such a nice detail! I got used to this once on windows 3.11 and Windows kept behaving like that through the versions, even though there&

I'm a bit confused...if web hosting shuts down, what stays? Doesn't this mean glitch just shuts down altogether?

Thanks, I had no idea, I'll check it out! We're still in the process of completing the paperwork, so it'll take a while until we have an official status.

The stack is nodejs and postgres - the most expensive part is the database actually. I could probably look into caching more of the expensive (mostly read-only) queries. I'm one of the two developers who will help out with development

Reminds me of that time when my desktop computer wouldn't turn on if the printer's USB was plugged in to the wrong kind of port. Took me some time to figure that one out. Or that other time, when my mom's phone started crashi

Well, yes and no. Look at the Ninjago City sets where the designers have used special parts in very creative ways! Otherwise, I too prefer sets without special parts. The Minecraft and Creator series are excellent for that.

I completely agree. In addition to that, the Nazis neglected a lot security measures that this aircraft actually had in place. There's a nice episode of "well there's your problem" on the Hindenburg: https://w

I tried switching to DDG a few times over the past few years and always found that it got in my way, especially when working. So I usually got annoyed enough after a few weeks and switched back to google. About two months ago, the opposite

I feel like one reason might be prioritizing short term profit over long term profit. I read a lot that it's about profit maximization - but I think that's not necessarily true. Facebook for example, is likely hurting itself right

I've worked with Django and nodejs as well. When working with node, I usually just grab express and some decent ORM that knows how to postgres, and I feel like I'm pretty much there. I've just never missed anything from Djang

I can see why npm is annoying, but I wonder what would be a good role model for a better ecosystem. I can personally only compare npm to PHP, Python and Java, and I think npm is far superior. Do you have an example of a better ecosystem

We also used mongoose, which is awesome. In retrospect, I actually wish we had kept mongodb as a read-only database and used postgres as the source of truth. Our data was mostly read-only, with some rather complex relations behind the scene
