I just made one of these in Python: https://github.com/bradjasper/sprite/blob/master/sprite Currently it only does fixed-width sprites, but handles the generation of CSS for you.

I run into this problem and my solution has been to block distracting sites. This gets me 90% of the value of being offline without taking required APIs offline. I wrote this to help: https://github.com/bradjasper/focus

I accomplish this with a simple Python script: http://github.com/bradjasper/focus I felt guilty writing a script to stop from procrastinating, but it has actually helped tremendously.

Thanks, this is a good suggestion and something I've been thinking about lately as the number of sites listed has increased. Do you think a description of each tool is necessary or just the "Best of" list?

These syntax changes move Sass closer to things web developers are familiar with. I believe renaming !variable to $variable is more intuitive for most web developers. Also I've made the mistake multiple times of forgetting to use an equal s

Yes, I do. But that doesn't change my statement. If you're not willing to break your business to change with the times, someone else will--and by the time you react it's too late.

I agree and don't think it's limited to programming. Considering business, it's difficult for a large established organization to make drastic changes. It's much easier for a new entrant (startups) to innovate because they don't have the sa
