You have a good point. But the next thing you need to think of is: - is Xobni really serving the market in an optimal way? - Is there something we can do better? To be honest I don't see answers for those two questions on their landing page

You will have tough competition from i.e. Xobni. They are free to use, well integrated with Outlook and let you display LinkedIn info about every email address that you are dealing with. http://www.xobni.com/social-outlook

I think that these designs are also optimized for conversion rates. To be honest - there is no golden rule for a "conversion design" - you must do your a/b testing because a lot depends on the web copy.

You may want to look at some sites that present great web design like http://www.unmatchedstyle.com/tag/crisp or http://cssmania.com/topics/business/technology/ (i've copied links to really cool designs in your area of interest).

Thanks for this opinion! I'll count that as an upvote for Product Suite.

But the question is - would you use/buy all-in-one app that does all that offer/invoice/project management thing?

ChromeOS and recent acquisition of Palm will have a big impact on the web app ecosystem. Things like jQtouch ( checkout how our HTLM/jQtouch app looks on iPhone and Andorid HTC Desire http://blog.smartupz.com/2010/05/htc-desire-and-iphone-

Just wait for the latest version of jQTouch. It'll have iPad support so after few hours of hacking you can make your website look "native" on iPad. Can't wait!

Is anyone looking for remote teams? I'm sure bootstrapped startups could do a lot of projects on the side to improve their cashflow...

Product management. You must think a lot, programming experience is a huge plus, but this kind of work does not tie you to a computer - you should be out more and talk to prospects/customers.

One thing that comes to mind after reading this comment - maybe what we really need is a HN startup directory? A list of startup names as titles, comments and voting (so you would easily know which one is interesting).

Problem with YC companies is that they are US only (am I correct that you must move to US to be funded by YC?). This site is multinational so non-US people will never see anything interesting on /jobs site.

I'm wondering on only one thing at the moment. How long does it take for people to realize that most of their productivity/business software can be used on iPad as well. I can imagine people traveling (sales people?) with iPads 3G checking

Adobe could buy PhoneGap and integrate their developer tools in the way that you can create HTML5 apps and "package" them to run as native ones on any smartphone (iPhone OS, Andorid, WebOS etc.).
