They of course supported gay rights! However some disagreed with the "marriage" word; some disagreed with the need for a law to allow it, rather than removing any existing law or clause that denied it. Those are the two argument

I know a number of gay and gay-friendly people who disagree or oppose gay marriage laws to various degrees, for a variety of reasons. So, huh, of course yes I think they can! Important: disagreeing with or opposing a gay marriage law is rea

Large cities in Europe have (comparatively) few detached homes and plenty of transit options, yet traffic can still be terrible because the road infrastructure is less huge. I guess we need american roads in european cities, but I'm af

This post and his fixes to the Javascript version made me so happy last week. Amazing that something I wrote 24 years ago can still be of interest to anyone.

Yeah they stop when another vehicle is crossing, but they don't seem to sync, so two vehicles sometimes resume driving at the same time and go through each other.

Yeah but the vertical skew came practically for free (just an offset before you start working on each column), which was very important for performance.

In Comanche rolling is a skew, not a rotation. You never tilt too much so it's ok.

Hehe you're going to laugh at me - I just played the game, exited back to DOS and dumped all RAM to a file. I had already written a relatively popular tool to explore files visually (dump every N bytes to a pixel, with W pixels per lin

That was mindblowing at the time. We thought we were being cool with our "Comanche engine using ripped Comanche terrain" on Heartquake https://youtu.be/LLsRBbFOa3k?t=1m39s but Mars was amazing. p.s. yeah we edited

Don't worry, by the time the borrow checker is done with you, you will understand what you are doing like you've never before. This is a good thing.

My friends sometimes make events show on my FB either by sharing or just by signing up. But most of the time the event is textually mentioned in a post ("hey Combichrist are coming" or whatever), not via an actual FB event. As som

Indeed! I defended JS for this exact purpose after the 2D canvas became truly ubiquitous. Still a minor amount of boilerplate but you can be drawing stuff in no time. With an integrated editor it would be perfect!

There are lots of systems to develop between the low level generic engine and the high level one-off (ish) gameplay code for a specific product. For example, a good brawler combat engine and the tools, pipeline and experience to put it to g
