This won't be a problem if you have 100% test coverage. Potentially useful to point something out as you type it, but I don't think it does anything profound.

It provides a rare but obvious criticism which these people are sorely lacking. You can tell this is true by how many of them replied to it telling me that the placebo effect made them feel a lot better about this new editor. And of course

Whatever these things are, they can't be very impressive if they weren't worth putting on the front page. Can you tell me one of the new things? Because I can't find any.

Wow! A hundred megabytes? That'll be a huge struggle for my 2002 Never Obsolete(TM) eMachines PC with 15GB hard drive.

You bring up Plan9 here as though it isn't in the same boat as Hurd. Hurd also has quirky file system stuff [1] and many other interesting and relatively novel features, but you seem to treat this totally differently from Plan9 with no

Option types are inherently a bad idea for languages without value semantics. In rust, the Some variant of an option type can just be allocated on the stack at almost no cost, but doing this here would require a million small allocations ev

The UNIX philosophy is redundant. The only unique part of it is to use text for everything, which isn't a very good piece of advice. It only exists to cover for the mistakes of UNIX. The bulk of it is saying that you should apply the s

Large scale statistical analysis of words used in performance reviews is, to put it in the article's words, very unactionable feedback. How could you go about resolving this? The impression you get from a person is a very difficult thi
