There is no need to have a digraph surrounding every element of data. Beyond being ugly, the digraphs make the file almost impossible to edit for anyone not already familiar with them. They require a large number of random symbols to be mem

It also excludes tests, which is how they reach such a low number. It seems they are trying to count the number of lines actually used in the executable. I can't see the value in this metric. If they want to talk about executable size,

I suppose it could be an accident that the headline has the connotation, but I tend to think it unwise to give people the benefit of the doubt if the "accident" in question is also beneficial to them.

Counterpoint: the article is aimed at people who know nothing about the topic, the first image in the article (the one you'll see if you post a link to it) is of Mount St. Helens erupting, and it drives engagement. I was definitely muc

I'm really annoyed when lisp languages use infix operators. Is it really so hard to write (= (f a) b) over (f a = b)? In fact, can you even call it lisp if the first element of the list isn't the operation of that list? Perhaps if

Maybe I'm a bit weird, but I would never commit to using something if the person making it wasn't providing a consistent interface. It could well be different in your case, but as a general rule, a sub 1.0 version is software that

I would say safety is a big one. It's a lot easier for users to justify fiddling with a touch screen interface when it's a part of the car vs on their phone screen. Sometimes you want to make unsafe things harder to do.

The issue such things face is that they are very difficult to justify. If you say "I am going to improve the efficiency of the rendering process by 30%", no one will question what you're doing. The numbers are better than bef
