In erlang you an interop with c++ libraries using NIFs so maybe the author down line will move to heavy matrix operations to a NIF

Try out elixir. It runs on the Erlang VM but is easy to get up and running and has a great community. It's much easier to add external libraries and uses its own package manager.

I don't think it even failed under it's rated strength, it was that their supplier for the struts provided sub-par/faulty struts and they couldn't handle the pressure they were supposed to be rated for

I'm curious as to also why they just don't go for full Salsa20 and do 32-bit words instead, seems like a logical quick fix upgrade that might break the decryption.

I agree if it had examples and support for the IEnumerable 'where', 'Select', etc and foreach loops I'd easily through down the $100 for myself but I just don't write many 'for' loops anymore
