Yeah, personally I score it 1. Disagree 2. Partly agree 3. Agree 4. Agree with you, this doesnt meet my bar of things to be worried about 5. Disagree insomuch as sure the SOTA models will outpace the normies models, but I dont think thats a

Im responding to the implication that you "have to be ok with good enough" and that somehow this will be a mostly fine autonomous experience with this > A car that only fails in a road conditions edge case is good enough for th

Well its not that simple. In the same way that throwing an LLM into a process will always have a risk of blowing up spectacularly. In this case it failed open. It didnt recognize that it was in an edge case (which itself is an edge case). S

I hate to spam this but Ive seen this misconception on bun repeatedly in each of these incident threads. It should really be noted that bun _does_ run lifecycle scripts for the top 500 most popular packages by default. You can opt out of th

Note that bun is only immune to this because it isnt in the “top 500” that bypass this system by default. I was actually surprised (pleasantly, but still surprised) tanstack wasnt in that list already https://bun.com/docs&#x

I think moving straight to local models is missing the required next step of open/self-hostable models which is certain to be the "AI future" end-state. Then local models become an optimization on top of that. I just dont wan

Surely the scenario where he generates the same number of items as he did between 2025 and now, but did it in 1 tick of v7 UUIDs also runs into it?

Devenv is "mise but nix" and is very good. It is currently undergoing a big migration though, so still a few rough edges. I highly recommend checking it out if you find yourself wanting nix at all.

Because it allows you to be lulled into the trap of asking an AI to post-hoc justify something it did and thinking that the response is in any way valid. There is no retrospective analysis of the underlying intent. It either is or is not ba

Maybe we are interpreting the GP differently. In this scenario, the phone tree is doing the same questions that the human agent is going to do but does it immediately when I call rather than "waiting for an operator" to ask me tho

Give an agent an obstacle and it will try to find a way around it. Most of the egregious commands Ive seen it run were fundamentally due to something blocking it from accomplishing a task. So eg if you block network access for the agent, yo

Why? It sounds exactly like the design I would hope for. It automates what I'm going to do already without needing to wait. And it allows you to bypass it entirely and just revert to the manual process (along with waiting).

A few weeks ago I went from 'high' to 'max' effort and got decent results. Since 4.7 went live it has regressed to how it was before (with the same settings).

Im on pay-per-use plans so its not the limits thats the issue directly, although the product development process could lead to them trying to fix limit issue and breaking the product as a whole. The main issue is side effects of effort/

Its the product overall, and its impossible to say where the issues are but I tend to think not the model since the changes seem to be able to occur overnight. So likely a combo of harness and service-layer.

I just dont really buy the explanation though. It seems so solvable to hack a throttle or something in place, especially for non-paid plans. The cracks were also showing before AI hit the scene. Im not saying this is the end-game solution b

That (and oh-my-pi) seem like an excessive swing in the other direction. Im all for the simplicity and minimalism of pi. There are just a few fundamental things that need updated (mainly subagent context and open-by-default security model).

Im looking at moving to Pi and I like the minimal nature, but I disagree with a handful of decisions they make. So Id likely need to maintain a fork which is less than ideal.
