I agree. I think the appearance of the watch is more important than the UX. You might interact with it for 10 minutes out of a day, but it'll be on your wrist for the whole day. The utility of the watch has long passed from telling the

the claims on the South China sea are patently ridiculous, but I don't think it can be compared with the senkaku islands. From what I've read China actually did have better claim over those islands prior to 1884 and immediately af

I'm not sure the material is viscous enough for that, it might have a certain degree of roundness regardless. In my head the shroud is directional, which means you'd need another actuator at the nozzle. If he's using off the

My hope is that as a new generation grows up with the internet, censorship will become increasingly intolerable. They banned the big bang theory and everyone just pirates it now. I believe that government is a reflection of culture, and as

With the timelapse crowd, "hyperlapse" generally means a timelapse with a moving camera (eg. reddit.com/r/timelapse) . In that sense they are using the term correctly.

I had a second batch pre-order but bought a.. competitor board after the price increase. some general thoughts on longboarding as a last-mile vehicle: - to get good speed out of it you really need a bike lane - I use a gun lock on the truck

Similar boat, I quit my job in april to travel. So far I've been to Japan, Inner Mongolia, and Hong Kong. I find it's a lot cheaper to rent an apartment than hotels/airbnb, but you would have to stay in one place for a month

I've always thought xx-graphs would be better served with h264, with gif as a fallback. Each frame is almost the same, seems a bit of a waste.

I'm not sure.. there are trash cans in certain public places like parks and subways, but they're rare enough that you have to spend time looking. And sometimes it's not practical to carry your waste the whole day - I have see

I'm pretty sure prescription frames are just really overpriced due to a semi-monopoly in the market. Depending on your prescription there are online retailers that actually give you your first pair for free. The most expensive bits in

I think it's just sealed bearings. The tesla motor is essentially the same as the spindle in a CNC, and those do not require lubrication but do need bearing replacement.

Don't forget trash cans. I regularly spend 10+ minutes walking around looking for a trash can. I know they got rid of them due to terrorism but c'mon that was 15 years ago.

AWS is extremely expensive for cpu. I had better luck with rackspace and linode. About 5x faster per dollar on average for a cpu-bound application when I tried them 2 yrs ago. It does depend on what your neighbours are doing though.

Exercise always seemed like a huge time sink to me. I usually do it while watching tv. Doing it before bed also saves a shower. The TV thing also helps me maintain a schedule - xyz cop show is on? Time to bust out the weights.
