Note that Chrome (or the application) chooses to reverse the self-view so that it acts like a mirror, whereas Firefox (or its application) chooses to display what the other person sees . It's a hard choice to make.

I agree. Generally, open ended questions give you a pretty good idea of a candidate's aptitudes. I would still have to test their ability to code something , as I know how good I am (if I may say so) at blagging my way through open ended

Testing a candidate's ability to express themselves is a good idea, but there are probably simpler ways of doing it than phoning a friend. If you wish to test communication skills, ask them an open-ended question like "how does a browser/OS

Astyle seems to have been around that long, I imagine pure C formatters have existed for much longer. They've got a lot in common with a language parser so if you've got a compiler you're most of the way there. http://astyle.sourceforge.ne

I don't have much experience with C++ codebases, but is this really "exceptional beauty"? The majority of the things he comments on could be enforced with a code-formatter.

What benefit does this have over scrolling = next page? Your eyes have to refocus on the top of the page anyway, you might as well have refreshed the whole text, not just the top line of the second line. Interesting idea though - what does

Just because you shouldn't have to lie about it, doesn't make it good advice to never lie about it. There are, sadly, many places in the US (and many in the rest of the world) where expressing your true self will cause you (physical/emotion

Ah, but let's look at what we mean by "best". Certainly, we can fall foul of a greedy solution by picking two excellent speakers who are known to violently disagree. Instead, we need to optimise the panel/conference globally. If a tech pane

At the risk of drawing this thread off-topic, I saw it in 24FPS and didn't think much of it. No amount of HD or FPS can make up for a mediocre film, in the same way that fantastic graphics don't make a good game. (Spoilers ahead.) Bilbo and
