There are some acting missteps that unfortunately flaw the film for me. Harrison Ford is not very good in it—perhaps not a great actor generally. His pretending to be a nerd/fan in Zhora's dressing room is too cringey to watch it&

I read a little. I suppose my own excuse for not reading more is that I am too often disappointed in the stuff I have read—been recommended to read. I would however like to write a thing that I would like to read . (If that makes sense.) I

"Crash" I know of by reputation. I can't see the dystopian music of John Foxx's Ultravox! (or Gary Numan for that matter) without seeing it through the Ballard/Crash Zeitgeist of the "New Romantics". (

Thanks. There was a time of course when you could pull my books down from archive.org as PDFs. Perhaps that time will come again. I'll look into libgen.

My take was generally: the loss of Alexandria's collection represents a calamitous loss to our collective culture. (But my knowledge of Alexandria extends only to episodes of "COSMOS" and "Connections").

"I’m glipping balls like everybody else." Well, that's a new one, ha ha (guessing "tripping balls" on GLP-1). (And here I am too, about to be glipping balls … like everybody else, I suppose.)

"I imagine they are only buying one copy of each book…" I doubt that corporations of this scale do that extra kind of… book-keeping. They more than likely buy books by the pound.

I love how sci-fi authors like Ray Bradbury toyed around with a similar issue but then got it so wildly wrong.

I'm only one person, but I scan old books that had an impact on me growing up, and upload them to archive.org. Thankfully there are others that do the same. (And to be sure, FWIW, these are books that have not been printed for about 50
