I wish there were alternatives to the Youtube recommendation algorithm. The algorithm in my opinion gives too much weight to frequent uploads of shallow 10+ minute videos (2 minutes of content stretched out to 10 minutes) filled with filler

I remember watching his TED talk 11 years ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj8IA6xOpSk and buying a couple Klein bottles afterwards. This brings back memories!

Since the Senate has a Republican majority and every single Republican voted against impeachment, does this mean that removal from office is basically not happening?

Why have Dems "shot themselves in the foot"? Because you're a Trump supporter and don't like that he got impeached? You're going to have to elaborate a bit more if you're going to make such bold statements pret

Not just Japan or Australia, coming back to the U.S. after a year in Japan I'm shocked at how few vending machines there are for example.

It's a hotel room, not a permanent residence. The responsibility for providing affordable housing doesn't rest on the owner of a small guesthouse. Also this is Japan, not a city like San Francisco with a homeless epidemic and tent

People brag about getting bargains all the time. That's like one of the core themes of the "digital nomad" community. The (2) option you specified is not the case. And if people can only afford a $1/night hotel room, the

Everyone places a different value on the livestream piece. For most people I'd imagine even $0/night wouldn't be enough to justify the invasion of privacy of being livestreamed. For me personally I don't care as much and

Perhaps if the channel got popular enough then that might make sense, but at this stage I think that would be a terrible move. Charging extra to be livestreamed changes the whole dynamic from "cheapest hotel ever, with one odd conditio
