Sure, but you would just be testing it against other placebos. There has been work in this area. For instance getting a pill from a doctor is stronger than getting the same pill from a stranger. The look/cost of the pill affects it

Control and double blind studies are more important when the placebo effect and subjective outcomes are at play. Not necessary here. Everyone that follows a different diet would like to complain about that. You should have compared it to th

I agree it's unfair to the customer, but the message is still being twisted to serve corporate interests. ISPs have been throttling bittorrent for a while now and no one was making a fuss about net neutrality then...

Every business tries to maximize profits and minimize costs. Google has certainly done their fair share of exploiting people (e.g. knowingly selling ads for scams, stealing content from Yelp, etc.) for profit, so it's hard to feel bad

The issue of Net Neutrality is consistently misrepresented. ISPs are not trying to extort the little guys (who have no money), they want to throttle YouTube and Netflix. The giant corporations have convinced average people to join their cau

Where are you seeing 4 seconds? The only benchmark is 1.3 seconds for 1500 rows (very large/rare) vs .3 seconds for React. I was saying that making all users download the additional file may not be worth it if only %.01 of your pages a

It looks like React will only really speed things up when you have over a hundred items repeating. Seems like a pretty rare use-case scenario for the additional 112KB overhead React brings with it.
