We are currently migrating from Mesos/Marathon to Kubernetes. One of the things I miss the most is the auto-refresh in the web interface. I know that's a minor issue, but after getting used to it, it's really weird having to

There are some cases where math alone is not enough to reproduce the results though. It's easy for a paper to say something like "pick the set of N points that minimizes `median(f(x))`" without saying how the points were chos

I believe that he's referring to the fact that Scala's Set is not a monad, so it "shouldn't" have a .flatMap operation. Scala has other containers that have a .flatMap operation that are not real monads, such as Fut

I'm not sure if that's completely true for prime factorization. There are numbers that are larger, yet easier to factorize. For example, I think that a power of two, like 1024, is much faster to factorize than, let's say, 100

I thought about this as well before, but the problem is that you don't want just ANY NP-problem: You want an NP problem (it doesn't even have to be NP-complete) that you can easily adjust the difficulty. How do you adjust the diff

I actually won a Tinker Board recently and was disappointed to find out that, unlike the Raspberry Pi, it has no composite port. I guess that's something to be expected, it's probably not a very used feature, but I really enjoy be

While I don't agree with some of Google/Facebook/et al. standards, I think that's not a fair comparison, since they are US based companies following US cultural norms, not EU based companies following US cultural norms.

The "receive new content" modal is really annoying. It appears every time my mouse exits through the top of the page, so it pops up every time I change tabs.

Not only sites and blogs, Mailchimp newsletters also support RSS feeds, which means that a lot of newsletters can be consumed by RSS readers. A agree that it never really died, it's just hiding.

I probably should have made a clearer point instead of linking to TorrentFreak. I did not mean that I was worried that CloudFlare's DNS would start blocking sites whose content they disagree with (although that would also be worrisome)

The title should be "The original pitch for Diablo (1994)", the 4 is in the wrong place. It would be pretty weird to have a pitch for Diablo 4 in the 90s, before Diablo 3 was released. :)
