You cannot compare an open chat, with a strong interest in a particular topic vs you team's Slack channel. Online games work well, because you have a visual and full engagement. Compare that to work communications... You are totally as

I highly, highly disagree. Getting advice on the spot is often critical. And rarely will you get good practical advice like "always do a dry build locally from the command line" on the forums. I can't even count how many time

Well... I have a counter example of a failure in FOSS, because of remoteness of the responsible department: At IBM working in a satellite office, I wanted to contribute to Jenkins. The fact that any person with the authority to allow me to

I haven't provided any definitions on what is a good design at all, so you'll have to tell me what it is. Your issue with the content, doesn't negate the designs. Japanese websites are also filled with a lot of junk content.

When it comes to whole market altering merger - they don't take that long. The negotiations took that long, to come to nothing. Clearly Adobe couldn't come up with a solution to the problem of a potential monopoly. Most M&As h

There is some config, where you set your feed to be your friends and similar. I use Facebook only because the town groups are all there. It's the local forum board, and barely anything else for me at this point.

Dust is the simplest example. Once you shut off the dust extraction, you may just end up with too much dust collected in the equipment to make it utterly useless.

Way before we had COVID bring out mRNA based vaccination to mass media, I learned about mRNA as a treatment for various cancers. Moderna's research pipeline has been full of cancer medications, which seem to be very promising.
