It is a weird design decision, though. For example, open a new default tab--the one with a google search bar. Fullscreen it. Now try to enter a search. I get a "Please enter a URL" popup and the page is unusable. I maintain th

My girlfriend and I have gone to a bunch of these in LA. They range from little strip mall places with a bunch of janky puzzles with poorly translated instructions to fully decorated and themed rooms with actors moving the action along. C

When you picture the smiley glad-hands, admit it--you're picturing a movie producer. The further outside the entertainment industry, the more normal LA gets.

Think of it this way: 1) Your resume is sitting somewhere that it will be mixed with web devs and finance managers. Or... 2) Your resume is given to people who are hiring senior system software engineers. Try to make sure #2 happens, which

My money's also on a NIC checksum/segmentation offloading bug. Even though it apparently isn't controllable via the exposed parameters, the card does have these features. "TCP/UDP checksum and segmentation offload (

There have been some pretty significant under-the-hood security upgrades in each new version of Windows. So while the UI changes are what users notice, the new security features are probably the more important reason to upgrade.

Citation, please. Everything I've ever read says “E = mc2 applies to all processes that release or absorb energy.”

E=mc^2 You may be thinking "Oh, you fool--E=mc^2 is for fission and fusion, and certainly doesn't apply to things like the energy in the heat of an object". But weirdly, it does. https://physics.stackexchange.com&

I purchased and assembled this kit. It was fun, although it's pretty time consuming. Do you want to get better at soldering? You'll get better at soldering. In fact, if your kit works, you'll have made 2700 good solder join

Sort of an aside, but Radiolab recently had an episode about the relatively new class of giant "as big as bacteria" viruses. This appears to be one of those. I found the episode fascinating. http://www.radiolab.org&#x
