It is usually a PDF containing a single JPG file inside, which you can see and export at the original resolution. To edit it, I guess you could paint over the text with white, and add a new text on top of it.

I wrote a free PDF editor (open a PDF, edit, export a PDF), my users edit around 500,000 PDF files every month. I have been gradually improving it for the past five years. It is a part of my photo editor https://www.Photopea.com

I accept payment cards and PayPal in my SaaS. The PayPal option costs 10% more money (I tell the client about it in advance). Half of people still chooses to pay with PayPal.

Back in 2019, my business partner sent me $30,000 USD over PayPal. PayPal took a fee of $1,690. At some cases, it is cheaper to buy a plane ticket and travel to get money in person. A year later, they have introduced an additional withdrawa

Adding 1 Byte to each line of raw pixel data is not that much. You can set it to zeros to avoid filtering. But it gives you a chance to improve the compression.

I have implemented a Zlib / Deflate decompressor (RFC 1951) in 4000 characters of Javascript. It could be shorter, if I did not try to optimize. E.g. this C implementation of Deflate adds 2 kB to a binary file: https://githu

I guess you are taking photographs. One should never try to store photographs with no loss. With a lossy format, like JPG or WebP, you can get 5x smaller file size, while giving up 0.000001% of the original information (which usually corres

GIMP has a neat feature called "Color To Alpha", which no other editor has (including Adobe Photoshop). I have added it to Photopea two years ago: https://github.com/photopea/photopea/issues/2205

25% of our users use Photopea on mobile, but we do not monetize it in these cases, as we think your screen is already too small.

I guess you always pay in cash. The amount of information which banks and card issuers collect about you is just tremendous. And unlike web ads, they know your real name, your address, your age ...

I said IF you could choose not to pay (if it was legal, the owner did not mind it), it WOULD make more sense not to pay (as you would save your money). That is how it is with websites today, the owners let you do it, even though they could

It is okay because website creators tolerate it. Once all website owners stop tolerating it, everybody would have to watch ads. Just like if at the grocery store, you could choose to pay or not pay. It would be totally okay not to pay. But

Fun fact: USB 2.0 webcams have been existing for over 10 years. USB 2.0 is 60 MB/s. A pixel of an image is 3 Bytes. A 1920x1080 FullHD image is 6.2 MB. At 30 frames per second, second of a FullHD video is 186 MB. How did they do that?

I wish people were more aware of fees. You pay around 1% of the amount as a fee. Without these fees, everytihng could be 1% cheaper. Imagine every person in the world making 1% more overnight. 1% of your money is a lot. That is why you will

Just a fun fact: there are dozens of papers released each year, which claim that they have proven that P=NP, or P is not equal NP. E.g. they "prove" it with soap bubbles: https://arxiv.org/pdf/cs/0406056.
