The problem is of course when legitimate facts or opinions hurt others, it has the side effect of silencing others and creating a false sense of consensus (sometimes, literally, a false sense of scientific consensus) and debating the actual

Google and Netflix are horrible for this. Want to switch which user account you're using? No problem, simply find the picture of the current user account that you definitely don't want to use, and click on it.
