Since Toshy is emulating Mac behavior, I imagine that copy/paste shortcuts move from the Ctrl key to the Super key.

It's possible, but it can be weird and difficult: https://nodejs.org/docs/latest-v17.x/api/esm.html#esm_common... Thankfully, actively-maintained CommonJS-only packages are quite rare by this point (in m

I think ideally you'd do it maybe every day or so, so that if the user goes offline for a while, or the server you're running goes down or something, the pass will continue to work for at least 6 days. It buys you a lot of time to

Yeah, the decentralized design is incredibly useful in the day-to-day, for ~any project size.

Also see tangled.sh, which is GitHub's BlueSky (built on ATProto). It's much less mature as a forge than the ones that are being adapted for ForgeFed, but the social support is already very useful in a way that no forge that wants

A CMake build is used as an example in the blog post. It's literally just visualizing all spawned processes, so it will work for anything that spawns subprocesses to do the build.

It's actually just a high-level routing between the reasoning and non-reasoning models that only applies to ChatGPT.

That only applies to ChatGPT. The API has direct access to specific models.

It's not compiling to Objective-C, it's compiling to machine code with a garbage collector packaged in, (similar to go, I think it would be fair to say).

Yep. I dislike it just as much as ceding crypto, but at the end of the day language changes, and clarity matters. I think image and video generation that aren't based on LLMs can also use the term AI without causing confusion.

Plus, the diagonal measurement doesn't reflect the width of the phone. Phones got taller/narrower probably about the same time as we started ditching physical buttons below the screen, so the screen size numbers went up without ma

Admittedly I am a sci-fi fan, but I loved it so much. The science fiction aspects are not the best part. Don't watch the trailer for the movie though, it's very spoiler-heavy.

You could certainly do that, and it would make a ton of sense if there's both no standard software API for communicating with that type of device, and it's important that multiple pieces of software that communicate with the dev

Technically the crypto thing is there, but it's not even remotely "in your face". What other dark patterns are you referring to?

TLS is absolutely used in websites, and I'm pretty sure modern browsers refuse to use any version of SSL.

Seems reasonable. I'd think this should be pretty straightforward for songs new enough to be released online. If it's capitalized a certain way on Spotify, that's almost certainly what the artist intended.

In fairness, that's not what they're arguing for. They're advocating using UTC for yourself, and since no one else does that you'll inevitably get good at conversions to other time zones.

That was absolutely not what was said. The way it was phrased indicates it only applies to a subset of projects, plus there were weasel words to indicate that maybe it's not actually quite that high, plus AI was not explicitly mentione
