This is kind of a problem in that it reduces the number of potential early users, testers and ultimately contributors. Sure it is still early in its development process, but it is important work to do in order to gain traction.

Because this is a specific allocator different from the general purpose allocator which is the "default" option. It is aimed at some specific use cases, when developers want to fine-tune their allocation strategies.

I wish org-mode supported text coloring. There are macros but you need to redefine them in every file and you must add support for all types of exports yourself. That's truly the only thing that bothers me every time I take notes/

That is because you can't access IPFS in a regular browser anyways so it is likely a Gateway which fetches IPFS pages for you.
