That doesn't change the fact that they are _very_ easy. European student here - apparently our schools teach way more math.

imho, this is the programmer's fault, not the language's. Or would you say it's the gun's fault if you shoot somebody with it? So if some programmers write unintuitive code with Scala, don't use their code. It's still an awesome language. e

Am I the only one who thinks Objective-C is complete crap compared to Scala, Haskell and the likes? Hell, even C++ is way faster to code in and provides a better experience. Obj C is just immensely verbose. I'd love to be able to use Qt +

Why should he take it down? I don't know anything about this whole controversy, but as far as I can see it, he's right about Patrick. Also, I couldn't find anything offensive or malicious, so I don't really get your problem here..

This would be infinitely more helpful if it would also list the platform you can develop on - ie Linux, Mac, Windows.

Actually, that's wrong by three orders of magnitude. One cubic km has 10^9 cubic meters. Each cubic m has 1000 kg of water, so one cubic km has 10^12 kg. If you now have 300k cubic km, that's 3*10^17 kg. So you actually only need to use 0.1

Um, what use this? If I click on a dropdown box, I can already type the value on my keyboard to select it. No javascript necessary. (using chromium on ubuntu)
