And our automations dream of electric sheep :). I think there's a more general negative sentiment against AI (a specific type of automation) in recent months. I mean, people are trying to burn down Altman's house. The average pers

If this was a pure advertising piece, I might agree. In this case, it's more "hey I wrote a book on this, these are other books that are great". That's kinda different at least in my mind.

I fail to see why that devalues this list of books. It's not like he's _only_ listing his own book.

Yeah but getting that confirmation document is low effort. And at least in Belgium the doctor visit would cost just like $25 (from memory, haven't lived there for quite some time).

Yup exactly, that's what I was getting at. In the US you can't afford to _not_ work. Not to mention that if you do have actual longer-term health concerns, you also need to pay for the actual treatment, and your insurance depends

Of all Musk’s “companies” this makes least sense to me. xAI is at least in the AI space, X.com is a true tech company and Tesla is also closer to AI than SpaceX. Guess SpaceX is the only one with the money “available”.

Might just be an artifact of the broken healthcare system. Painkillers are cheap and over the-counter. Going to a doctor is not. Additionally, in EU you can just take a sick day to rest and recover pretty much any time you need it. In the U

I really like cheese, but I'm also vegetarian. It would be a useful feature to mark which cheese is vegetarian on this visualization. I know it's not the point of the website, but it'd be a nice bonus :)

First off, I'm vegetarian and generally climate-conscious. I think we humans should do what we can in order to protect our planet. I think we can do a lot to keep the planet a good place for all living beings. But to also say something

Different from 4.7? Because how it’s positioned it sounds like 4.7 is the incremental improvement rather than the Mythos “revolution”. Although in fairness I assume it’s all just marketing bs.

I might be misreading your message, but most ebooks I buy are in the $5-15 range, whilst physical books I buy are usually $20-30 range. I'm reading your message as in "they are equally expensive" which is not the case. But I&

Same boat as you, I'm on my second kindle in 10 years. Absolutely love the device and the convenience of reading on it. Also have a large physical library that I still add to occasionally (esp in relation to the space I have in Condo b

I discovered a new band some weeks ago (Hexxenmind) through Spotify. Really liked them, then checked concert dates only to find out it’s AI generated. Honestly couldn’t tell in the moment but now that I know it’s generated it somehow feels

One benefit apart from travel that I couldn’t go without is adapting the font size. I have pretty poor eyesight and some physical books were a PITA to read. Especially from bed / bath where I wouldn’t normally wear glasses.

The devices were supported for more than a decade. Sure, this forced deprecation isn’t great but it’s still had a longer lifetime than many other devices. I’ll happily keep reading on my kindle, it’s the most ergonomic way of reading for me

The great but not super healthy Mexican diet might offset the potential heat exposure benefits! Although I’m basing that on the diet of my Monterrey-based in-laws, not sure how different Yucatan is.

Some games explored shooting dogs (CoD and BF both had this at some stage iirc). The reception to that was much more negative than shooting humans. Edit: but I know you mean shooting aliens or something similar.

Many games with a dedicated servers browser back in the early 2000s just turned into chatrooms at night. I’ve seen that even in games that this article calls out as being just about “shooting” like cs. But it happened on ET, CoD, JK, etc.

This seems opposite to my experience. Sure, the US has beautiful places (and national parks), but also many visually polluted spaces with ads etc. I see many other countries in LatAM, Asia etc having just as many beautiful places of nature
